"The Fredericksburg Off-Road Duathlons (F.O.R.D.s) are two Virginia Off-Road Series races with a focus on good, friendly, and fun competition. They started F.O.R.D. seven years ago, and the races have developed into some of the best Off-Road Duathlons in Virginia. Why? Because we offer awesome racing PLUS a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Thanks to their amazing sponsors, we are able to offer free food plus a good draft from our local Blue & Gray Brewery post race (no worries - non-alcoholic beverages will be offered as well). And what better place to enjoy these perks than on "the beach" of the Rappahannock River! Spectators can take advantage of all of the adventure the river has to offer since the race site is located right on the premises of the Virginia Outdoor Center (V.O.C.). Next to tubing, canoeing and kayaking, the center offers a rock climbing wall for beginners and experts AND race site camping for a minimal price.

Competitors will be able to choose between  Beginner and Advanced distances. Please note that ONLY THE TOP 3 OVERALL MALE/FEMALE ADVANCED racers will have a shot at the top 3 finishers prize money! A team option is also available (1 runner, 1 biker), but all teams MUST race the Advanced distance to qualify for awards." - www.FredEvents.org

BEGINNER : 1.1 mile run / approx 6 mile mtb / 1.1 mile run
ADVANCED : 2.5 mile run / 9-10mi mtb / 2.5 mile run

Event schedule and times
- Race starts at 9 am
- Race day registration starts at 7 am and closes at 8:45
- Race brief will be at the tents by 8:45

In case there is a large number of registrants, there might be a delayfor the beginner start time to 9:15 am. The decision will be made the morning of race day.

VIRGINIA OFF ROAD SERIES INFORMATION

The FORD Duathlon races have been with VORS since the beginning. These races are held in a great venue off the Rappahannock River in Fredericksburg, Va. Course segments will take you through old quarry's and under I-95. There are two different courses:

BEGINNER(short) - 100 point scale
ADVANCED(long) - 150 point scale
