 THE DEVILS BACKBONE CHALLENGE@The Festy & The STAMPEDE ON HORSESHOE MOUNTAIN@theNCBF Devils Backbone Brewery: N37 52.245’ W78 55.137’  The Devils Backbone Brewing Compay opened on November 19, 2008. The brewery is located outside Nellysford on Rt 151 near Wintergreen. In the past year DBBC has won multiple awards at the Great American Beer Festival with their stellar beers brewed by Jason Oliver. Their location is situated in one of the most breathtaking areas in Virginia.  Last year, 2009, the Devils Backbone Brewing Company came on the scene with two new mountain bike races, The Devils Backbone Challenge and the Stampede on Horseshoe Mountain. These events were a first of their kind for Virginia off road racing. They involved collaberation between a Craft Brewery, private land owner, county tourism and a private company.  The Devils Backbone Challenge had a great turnout. At the time, DBC created the largest one day event at the brewery, as the picture immediately above demostrates.
