Latest Series of Events 010209- VORS

Jan 2, 2009(Richmond, Va)

Welcome to the kickoff of the 2009 Virginia Off Road Series!

Hope everyone had a great Holiday Season. Today, we are releasing our updated rules and have made a few changes to make it more exciting throughout the season.

First and by far the biggest change is to our scoring system. The point schedule will stay the same but only a racer's best seven races will count towards your final score. It's like dropping the lowest test score. On top of that will be a percentage bonus points awarded at the end of the season based on how many of the VORS races you compete.

Next, all Duathlons will be scored on two points scales based on the difficulty. The Beginner will be scored on a XC (100 point) scale and the Advanced will be on Enduro/Multisport (150 point) scale. This applies to the National Off-Road Duathlon Championship and the Fredricksburg Off-Road Duathlons.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact us. We look forward to a very competitive season with lots of tough competition. We are opening our Preseason Registration for the 2009 VORS. Please chose the Category that best fits your abilities and keep it real for everyone! Please visit VirginiaOffRoadSeries.com to review the complete rules and registration process.

Best of Luck with 2009! In the next week, we will be releasing our tentative Race Calendar and have some exciting races for you this year!
